PARTICIPATION WAIVER

JUNIOR & SENIOR CENTURY CRICKET COMPETITIONS -
TERMS & CONDITIONS

Code of Conduct:

I, as a participant in events held by Century Cricket Group, such as Century Cricket Competitions, commit to upholding high standards of sportsmanship, fairness, and respect for fellow players, coaches, officials, and spectators. I understand that my behaviour on and off the field should reflect positively on Century Cricket Group and the spirit of cricket.

I agree to:

  1. Follow all rules and regulations set forth by Century for the competition.

  2. Not bring the Century Cricket Competitions or the game of cricket into disrepute.

  3. Respect the spirit of cricket and fair play and behave accordingly in the spirit of the game.

  4. Display and encourage respect for umpires, opponents, coaches, administrators, officials, parents, and spectators.

  5. Accept the decisions of the officials and referees with grace, even if I may disagree with them.

  6. Control my emotions, and not engage in verbal abuse of or swearing at or in the vicinity of others, sledging players and/or coaches or behaviour that deliberately distracts or provokes an opponent.

  7. Never engage in any type of violence either on or off the field.

  8. Contribute to a safe spor(ng environment and respectful culture which is accepting of individual differences and behave accordingly.

  9. Cooperate with Franchise Officials, Coaches, and teammates.

  10. Participate for my own enjoyment and for the enjoyment and benefit of my teammates, Coaches and Franchise Officials

  11. Not take part in any form of bullying including via the use of social media.

  12. Never discriminate against any person in relation to their gender, ability, sexual orientation, cultural background race, or religion.

  13. Not engage in conduct or encourage or facilitate others in engaging in conduct that is unethical, unbecoming, or likely to cause harm to the reputa(on of myself, my team, my franchise, or Century Cricket Group.

  14. Not make or post inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory comments in public, including via social media, about other players, competitions franchises, umpires, competition officials or any of the Century Cricket Competitions. Social media includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and includes via email, instant messaging, text messages, WhatsApp, Signal, or other such platforms.

  15. Report to the Century Cricket Competitions Integrity Team any approaches to fix any match; any part of any match or any bribes/offers of advantage that might affect team selections.

  16. Never participate in; or attempt to participate in any Century Cricket Group event fixture if I am knowingly under the influence of drugs or alcohol; including but not limited to illegal stimulants, narcotics, or cannabinoids.

Commitment to Participation:

I understand that participation in Century Cricket Group events requires dedication and commitment. I commit to attending practices (if able to), matches, and other team-related activities regularly and punctually. I understand that my commitment is essential for the success of the team and the overall experience of the competition.

Information Privacy:

Century Cricket Group is committed to protecting the privacy of its participants. I acknowledge that Century may collect and use personal information provided in this waiver for the purposes of organising and managing cricket competitions. Century will not disclose this information to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

Waiver of Liability:

I understand and acknowledge that cricket is a physically demanding sport, and there are inherent risks associated with participation. I voluntarily assume all risks related to my participation in Century Cricket Group events, including but not limited to, injuries, accidents, and property damage. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Century Cricket Group, its officers, officials, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising out of or related to my participation.

Photography and Video Consent:

In accordance with our child protection policy, Century Cricket Group will not permit photographs, video, or other images of young people to be taken without consent. If the child is under 16, consent must be obtained from a parent/carer.

Century Cricket Group will take all necessary steps to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended. These photographs and/or videos may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to website content, social media, brochures, signage, flyers, and other marke(ng materials. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately, please inform us immediately. I release Century Cricket Group, its officers, employees, and agents from any liability resulting from the use of the photographs and/or videos as described above. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for the use of these photographs and/or videos. This consent is valid indefinitely unless revoked in writing by me, and I acknowledge that I have the right to revoke this consent at any (me by providing written notice to Century Cricket Group).
